Liz Horgan - Personal TrainerHi, I’m Liz. I recently left a career in Human Resources and Project management to follow my passion of fitness and earlier this year I took the plunge and set up my own business. The satisfaction I have received so far in helping my clients is truly inspirational, supporting their journey to be a better version of themselves. The link between exercise and improved mental health is important to me, and I can’t stress enough how important it is to everyday wellness.

I have worked a lot with women in their homes, providing support and motivation to get fit and improve their strength, whilst helping them to get over issues with their confidence and anxiety around exercise. Some of my clients haven’t exercised in years and so the changes in the mindset after just a few weeks is inspiring. One client sent me a video when she achieved a full sit up, it was such an achievement for her! It gives me a deep sense of satisfaction when I can see the changes I have influenced in my clients and the impact it has on them both physically and mentally.

I carry out an initial consultation with all clients to establish what their needs and goals are, this then enables me to put together tailored fitness sessions which are safe and appropriate for their abilities, whilst ensuring they have an effective workout which pushes them at the same time.

What can I say about this lady? Quite a lot actually. When I met Liz I was so nervous because I hadn’t exercised for years and had lots of stiffness and aches and pains which made me think I couldn’t exercise much, how wrong was I? On day one I could barely get my shoulders off the floor to do a sit up but within six weeks I could do full on, proper sit ups 💪🏼 

Liz has gently (due to medical reasons) and cleverly coached me through the past ten weeks to which I have achieved results I never thought possible, apart from feeling and being stronger, I am much more confident and the aches and pains have reduced significantly too, not to mention the inch loss!! I would never have pushed myself as far as Liz has, best decision I have made in years meeting Liz, I look forward to our sessions and highly recommend her as a competent, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable personal trainer.
